Privacy Policy
Hive Coding (hivecoding.gg) shows chatters what happened to the ideas they sent in the live chat of Hive Coding streams on YouTube. This page explains what we collect and why.
What we collect
- When you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, name, email address and profile picture.
- When you allow YouTube access: the ID, handle and title of the YouTube channels on your account. We use this only to match you to messages you sent in our stream chats. We read it once at sign-in and do not keep access to your YouTube account.
- Public stream chat: messages posted in the public live chat of Hive Coding streams, with the sender's channel ID and display name, the stream timestamp, and notes on how each idea was used.
- A sign-in cookie so you stay signed in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use it
To show you your prompts and their outcomes, and to credit chatters on shipped features. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
YouTube API Services
Hive Coding uses YouTube API Services. By allowing YouTube access you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. You can remove Hive Coding's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Your choices
- Turn off "Show my name in credits" in Settings to appear as "a chatter".
- Delete your account in Settings. This removes your Google sign-in and channel link from our database right away.
